Mama’s In Vegas!

My clients (Vegas Golden Knights team owners) sent Gigi this onesie and a few other outfits a few months ago. I’m in Vegas this week and had the opportunity to show off my sweet girl in her gear. Unsurprisingly, the pictures were a hit;)

Gigi’s Birthday Part 3: The Cake Touch

A full day-and-a-half later, and I’m still not sure what G was less enthralled by: the process of singing “Happy Birthday” or the cake smash (or “cake touch” as we’re calling it).

She definitely did it her way, though, and that made it 100% perfect. I am really, truly not at all surprised that she A – had no interest in smashing the cake, and B – had no interest in eating it. Oh well. I guess there are worse things to spend $35 bucks on than a low-sugar, dairy-free, organic cake for babies (lookin’ at you, un-air conditioned 60-minute taxi ride home from work Friday night!).

Singing “Happy Birthday…”

Still singing… wait for it… IMG_4001

Wait for it…

There she goes! The cake touch. BOOM.B642ED28-C4DC-4D9F-8C64-A38987198DF7

Totally disinterested. The only reason any bit of icing is out of place is because Dave and I smeared it on her high chair to try to get her in the spirit. She wasn’t feeling it. IMG_4010IMG_4012

Still trying our hardest… IMG_4015IMG_4023

Aaaannnnndddd, she’s over it. That’s the “Get me out of here, Mom Mom” look. IMG_4025

Nothing says a good time like bloomers, shoes, and a party hat. She rocked that outfit the rest of the afternoon until we got home. IMG_4026

She has icing on her face from Dave and I still fighting to get her into it. No go. IMG_4031IMG_4032

Gigi’s FIRST Birthday Celebration!

IMG_8094

Georgia Grace did her first birthday right — she was surrounded by nothing but love, joy, cake, and the people who love her the whole time. Unsurprisingly, she wanted absolutely nothing to do with the cake, and the event culminated with what I’m guessing was the Most Boring Cake Smash of All Time.

We celebrated over brunch at Maison Kayser on Greenwich Street in Tribeca, and it was perfect. We drank lots of rose and Sancerre (her Mom Mom’s two favorite wines), and reflected on the 365 days prior that seemed to have flown by. Thank God for this baby girl and for all the happiness she has brought the world around her; Dave and I are so grateful.

Just Like Daddy

I have so many emotions about this post that I can’t find the words to describe them. I am about to post seven different pictures of the same thing and I don’t care. Every single image is just as meaningful as the one before. One of the most magical moments of parenting happened in Ohio — Dave got to push his daughter on swings in the same park he knew as a kid… and Georgia Grace had a BLAST. It was the sweetest thing in the world to watch. I could’ve stayed in that moment forever. So, without further ado, may I present: the sweetest pictures ever.
