Sisters

Father’s Day 2023

His first year as a daddy to two girls! We awoke super early and hurried to Soho House for a rooftop swim and breakfast.

After Soho House, we came home and opened cards and gifts. Gigi had purchased the perfect card — they jammed out to metal music as long as I could take it!

We wrapped up the day with dinner at The Hideaway and drinks at Puffy’s. So grateful for this amazing family and our sweet traditions in our perfect little city neighborhood.

Our crew!

EEW: Seven Months!

Eloise is thriving! She’s enjoying her first tastes of (puréed) food: bananas, avocado, guava, pears, parsnips, sweet potatoes, peaches, and her absolute favorite, purple carrots. And we are having an absolute blast. Now that she’s bigger and the weather is better, we’ve been getting out more. Eloise just loves people watching but her absolute favorite remains her big sister, Gigi. Eloise lights up every time she sees her, and gives a growl when she notices Gigi walk away.

Eloise is getting stronger, too. She’s able to push all the way up on her hands during tummy time and is starting to sit on her own (we’re spotting her from behind of course!). She babbles nonstop and her favorite word is “Buh!,” although we’re not sure what it means (yet).

Eloise is sleeping through the night most nights (thanks to Dave and his ‘no tears’ sleep training approach), and as a result, the rest of us are getting more sleep, too.

Ten Little Fingers

Every morning starts the same way: big smiles, a diaper change, feeding with mama, and then, Eloise’s favorite: cuddling and reading. She’s become an excellent page-turner, and is eager to lick and nibble with every new page. Her favorite books are The Very Hungry Caterpillar and That’s Me Loving You. Today we wrapped up story time with one of my favorites, Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes.

We made it!

It was a bear of a week — Gigi had an awful virus that landed her in the hospital with an IV — but we made it! Today, we went for a walk as a family to enjoy the sunshine and the peace and quiet of my favorite coffee shop.

Aren’t they sweet?
