A Mama and Her Babies
EEW: Week 11
Stroller Naptime…
…just kidding!
I stuck my camera in the hole in the top of the stroller, and this is what I saw. I guess just assumed Eloise would nap on her way to pick up Gigi in the afternoon (I was wrong).
Smiles for Daddy
Eloise had some big smiles for Dave today!
It reminded me of this picture of Dave with Gigi. She was just over six weeks old here.
Bedtime Routine
We just love having Gigi read to our whole family at night. Tonight, she read Eloise.
Saturday Night
Super G!
Pizza Night
On Friday nights, we PARTY! Gigi and I chased Dave all over the apartment, and then we got started making pizzas (while Dave changed Eloise’s diaper). We got a late start, so we’re watching family movie and eating family pizza simultaneously. The movie tonight: Mary Poppins. I love our special family tradition.
Friday Morning Smiles
We had a happy start to the weekend! Fresh baked cinnamon rolls, Encanto music, and lots of smiles from our baby girl! It’s going to be a great day.
Guess who found her hand?!
Eloise’s Two-Month Appointment
At Eloise’s two-month appointment, we learned that she has grown a lot! She is 24 inches long and weighs 12 pounds 2.5 ounces. That means she’s 96th percentile in height and 67th percentile overall.
Dr. Wasserman was glad to hear Eloise was meeting her two month milestones (like smiling!) and the girls seemed to really hit it off, with Eloise giving Dr. Wasserman some serious baby babble and coos.
We wrapped up the appointment with Eloise’s two-month vaccinations, which was predictably heartbreaking. She was visibly and very audible upset with each needle stick, but quickly calmed and relaxed with a feeding before we left.
Maternity Leave
The girls and I are really starting to lean into my leave of absence. We’re making the time together count, knowing it has a shelf life. Eloise and I spend a lot of the day snuggling (and watching the Harry and Meghan docuseries on Netflix) until we leave to get Gigi. After school, with Eloise happily napping in her stroller, Gigi and I have gotten into the habit of stopping by Sarabeth’s for an afternoon snack. Once home, the three of us spend most of the time together, playing dolls, doing crafts, and today, taking a bath. I’m so grateful for this time.
EEW: Week 9
Breastfeeding Snuggles
Breastfeeding can feel like a full time job…. But it’s definitely one that has major perks. I am so grateful for the cozy, often sleepy snuggles.
