EEW: Week 20

Baby’s First Picture

I’m posting this over a year after I initially received the photo. I was in the hospital for my embryo transfer. Minutes after the procedure, still laying on the OR table, the laboratory technician walked over and handed it to me. I remember looking at it and thinking there is just no way this is going to work.

Nearly 13 months later, I have a perfect four-month old baby girl.

My God, what an absolute miracle.

Tooth #8

G lost her eighth tooth! On the bottom, one that’s been hanging on for a while. She was so excited to use the tooth fairy pillow which was inspired by an arts and crafts show she watched. When she placed her tooth in the pillow, she said, “Thanks, Arty!”, which is something the kids say in the show.

The tooth fairy went all out this time — she got a five-dollar bill! She was ecstatic.

Sisters

They’re enjoying one and other more and more as the days pass. Gigi is glad to work hard to earn Eloise’s sweet smiles, coos, and giggles by dancing, singing, showing her smiles and toys — whatever it takes.

Both wearing PJs from Mimi!

Best Friends

I’m so happy for Gigi’s friendship with Edie. They are so kind and loving to one another and have such a blast together! Today was an early release day (for parent-teacher conferences), so Gabby and I took the girls to the diner for lunch, and then they went to Edie’s for a play date. It’s such a joyful and effortless friendship… good for them. ❤️

They prepare for their play dates together, often packing bags. Today, Gigi came prepared with headbands and tiaras!
