EEW: Week 19

FaceTime with my Babies

I’m nearly 5,000 miles from my girls and I miss them so much it hurts. Thank goodness for FaceTime! Being able to see their sweet faces and talk to Gigi has been such a gift.

I’m also grateful for text and the ability to log into our monitor. I’m missing Dave like crazy and it’s nice to be able to send him a quick hello. I’m also able to see how much time he’s spending putting Eloise to bed (it’s a lot).

Love them all so much and can’t wait to see them!

EEW: Five Months!

Our sweet, happy Eloise Elizabeth is five months old! She smiles all the time and makes it clear that she adores her “people.” She adores Gigi most of all and reserves her biggest smiles for her. She babbles all the time and loves to engage us in “conversation.” She loves kisses and tickles on her neck, and squeals in delight when she knows a neck kiss or tickle is coming.

First Family Vacation!

Between Covid and winter (and all the newborn baby concerns), our family has been cocooned in our home since the day we brought Eloise from the hospital. We were long overdue for time away, so we took the opportunity to get away during Gigi’s spring break. We went to Miami, and it was heaven!

Traveling with two kids is no joke. We had a million bags, and we really found out what we were made of when Gigi got motion sickness in the MIA airport. Nevertheless, we made it! And we had a little fun in the process.

Writing Celebration

Gigi’s class hosted their grown ups for a writing celebration, and Dave and I were so lucky to both be able to attend! Gigi wrote an opinion piece/book review on her book, Itty Bitty Princess Kitty. Her writing was exquisite and her illustrations were so very pretty! We were so happy to spend time with her in her classroom.
