Father’s Day 2020

We walked to La Esquina, had margaritas, and just coexisted. We sure do love Gigi’s daddy and are appreciative of the opportunity to celebrate him. Happy Father’s Day, Yaya!

Figaro

Minnie’s cat, Figaro, is her newest toy and obsession. Evidence of that and the fact that she’s growing like crazy is below.

Full-on Kid

I don’t see any baby there, do you??! She’s such a big kid now! And I couldn’t be more proud of the person she’s become. It’s so much fun getting to know her. Our little love.

Playing Kitties with Mimi

Gigi has a new favorite pastime: calling Mimi on FaceTime and playing “kitties.” It involves Gigi holding up her stuffed kitty (Figaro) and Mimi holding up hers so the kitties can talk.

As you can see, Dave seems to enjoy this activity more than anyone, taking full advantage of the opportunity for a cat nap. (Pun intended.)

That was the completely unprompted statement Gigi made as I went to snap this quick selfie of us enjoying a family picnic in the middle of a damn New York City sidewalk like it was a normal thing to do. Can you begin to imagine how many “fuck yous” we’d have heard if we’d have done this under pre-COVID circumstances? Anyway, how sweet is our kid. She’s a simple girl: give her a $12 dollar pint of ice cream, her parents, and a place to sit and she’s good.
